• ECO-TECTURE • residential OCEAN VIEW STUDIO “A Room with a View” rooftop studio was constructed as a personal meditation space as well as a professional massage studio. Custom atrium-style doors open onto an outdoor rooftop deck flanked by intensive style planting boxes for gardening. • LIVING ROOF • residential WINGS OF EARTH Bursts of color adorn this 3300 sq. ft. Living Roof. The broad sweeping roof planes inspired the planting scheme to resemble the patterns seen on the wings of butterflies. The plants are configured in fields or waves and arranged according to shape, texture, size and color to create this visual impression. •EXTENSIVE •RAIN CHANNELS •DROUGHT-TOLERANT SUCCULENTS & PERENNIALS

• ECO-TECTURE • commercial MED SPA HEALING CENTER A landscape design was developed for the healing gardens that surround a psychological med-spa institute. A waterscape feature was designed to provide visual and sensory experiences for the patients to use prior to and after their session. The waterscape features a Grotto spring made of Tuff rocks, a rock lined stream channel, a wildlife pond, and several theme gardens. •GREEN FAÇADE •WILDLIFE POND & WATER FEATURES •LANDSCAPE DESIGN

• ECO-TECTURE • residential TERRA DEL SOL This is a passively solar heated and cooled residence. Expansive southern glazing was combined with the thermal mass of two curvilinear earthen walls that act to separate the sunroom from the living spaces. The rammed earth walls (16” thick) temper the daily solar gains and store the heat within the earthen mass. • ECO-TECTURE • residential LEVY-COFFMAN RESIDENCE A new deck, entranceway, garden swing, patio and gardens were part of this eco-makeover of a 1970's ranch house. The water is purified through two bio-filter zones which flank the deep water swimming area and are lined with water loving plants. Three main alterations to the existing barn were developed; an square tower became an dining area, a double-dormer bisecting the ridge became a multi-purpose loft and a large expansive eyebrow dormer open the living room to outside world. •HYDRONIC HEATING •RECLAIMED FLOORING •KITCHEN CABINET DESIGN

• ECO-TECTURE • residential SONOMA RESIDENCE A fully integrated Eco-efficient 'green' (zero-energy) home. Straw-bale walls plastered with natural lime, super-insulate this passive solar dwelling. Interior walls constructed from the building sites subsoil (cast earth) function as thermal mass. Biomorphic shapes and forms inspire this space, crafted with a rich palette of natural material.
